Chris and Chrissy Rouse were an american father and son who were extremely keen and experienced divers. They died in terrible circumstances during one of their dives in 1992.

This book uses the tragic story of Chris and Chrissy Rouse as an excuse for what is, ultimately a book about the history of diving. I don't mean that in a bad way. I found this a thoroughly interesting read and I learned a great deal. It's also a great insight into the world of extreme divers and adrenaline junkies. Not necessarily a good book to read for someone who is thinking about learning how to dive.
